The small copper butterfly and the small heath are tiny butterflies, about the size of a 20p piece, they are very good at camouflaging themselves and you spot them when walk nearby!1 very difficult to get to a photograph

“Smile for the camera”…. only managed one shot of this beautiful bird and then it was gone. Taken a couple of years ago but never seen one so close to shore since.

After flying about, stopping at various places near the hide it finally landed right in front, just for a few minutes but long enough to get a shot. Such elegant birds.

Out on my travels camera not even out the bag, pulled over and these two magnificent creatures flew past. Managed to get these quick shots as they returned on route back to their nest.
