A few years ago I was honoured to have a tour of the Secret Donkey Sanctuary, somewhere in Scotland. All of these donkeys have been abused by man, but with the love and help of the staff at the sanctuary they are slowly gaining a trust in humans again. All of them still bare the scars of their abuse. eg one can’t lift his ears up .
